Ballet Boyz
BalletBoyz present Six Lethargies, a new dance work set to Keaton Henson's composition for string orchestra, played live on stage by 37 musicians. Built around Henson's question "if I write how it feels to me, will you feel it too?", the piece moves through six emotional landscapes, exploring how trauma, memory, anxiety and empathy live in the body and the mind, and how trauma can find resolution.
The production is directed by BalletBoyz founders Michael Nunn and William Trevitt, with choreography by Iván Pérez, who created the company's Young Men, and Seirian Griffiths. The dancers are led by Joshua Attwood, Dan Baines, Alex de la Bastide, Paris Fitzpatrick, Dylan Jones, Elisabet Liisu Cerenius, Faye Tan and Kai Tomioka. A world premiere for the company's 25th year, it brings live music and large-scale contemporary dance together on the Sadler's Wells stage.
