Breakin' Convention 2027

Breakin' Convention 2027 brings the international festival of hip hop dance theatre back to Sadler's Wells for two nights over a bank holiday weekend. Billed as a return to the festival's roots, it features performances from the old school to the new school on the main stage, with live DJs, dance workshops, graffiti, emcees and spontaneous cyphers taking over the rest of the building. The full line-up is due to be announced in 2027.

The festival is hosted and curated by Jonzi D, the dancer, MC and theatre-maker who founded Breakin' Convention at Sadler's Wells in 2004. Since then it has presented hip hop dance companies, crews and soloists from the UK and around the world, and The Guardian has called it "one of the world's leading showcases of hip hop dance". For a weekend of hip hop dance, music and culture in one place, this is the festival to see.
