It's A Sin
Set in London in the early 1980s, It's A Sin follows four friends, Ritchie, Roscoe, Colin and Jill, as they chase identity, connection and a life on their own terms among the city's clubs and music. As the AIDS crisis unfolds, their lives are changed for good, and love, fear and defiance collide as they fight for each other in an increasingly hostile world. Moving between past and present, the piece asks who gets remembered and who gets left behind.
This new dance work by Rambert is inspired by the Channel 4 series by Russell T Davies, writer of Queer as Folk, who is an executive producer alongside the Pet Shop Boys and Glyn Fussell. It is directed and choreographed by Rambert's Artistic Director Benoit Swan Pouffer, creator of Rambert's Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby, and performed by the company's dancers. A moving story of friendship and survival, told through dance.
